abseiling description

Abseiling is a challenge for everyone.

There are a number of great abseiling venues in the Lakes, both wet and dry, the heights of which vary depending on your daring.

Usually we start with a low abseil and build up to the big abseil but the choice is yours.

We will instruct you in the skills and knowledge necessary to control your abseiling descent in style and safety, building up your confidence enabling you to push yourself as far as you choose to go.

We are AALA licensed and therefore able to instruct groups of children and young people under 18 without their parents being present.

In the past we have catered for all kinds of groups; school groups, stag do's, hen do's, scout packs, 40th birthdays, summer camps, friends day out... The list go's on.

Abseilling programme

Abseiling is usually a half day activity and can be teamed up with one of our other group activities to give a full day.

We work with group sizes of up to 8 with one instructor.

We'll meet you at the venue and provide all the technical equipment necessary.

The biggest abseil we offer is about 40m high. There is also the option to abseil down waterfalls or abseil into a quarry where the exit is via a tunnel.

Alternatively there are small and less scary abseils to do too.

The choice of venue is totally dependant on you.

Essential information

Climb365 will provide all the safety equipment including harnesses, helmets and ropes. You will need to provide your own transport on the day. You should wear comfortable trousers as you will be hanging in your narness as you abseil down. Most type of foot wear is fine, although trainers with smooth bottoms are not ideal.
