Our classic mountain scrambling courses take place in Cumbria, UK, and last for two days.
Scrambling is a hugely challenging, yet enjoyable activity and is accessible to all levels of ambition.
Although not as serious as rock climbing, when you are scrambling you can find yourself in some very exhilarating situations.
There is a range of classic Lake District scrambles to choose from including Pinnacle Ridge on St Sunday Crag, Easy Terrace on Dow Crag and Slab and Notch on Pillar Rock.
Our two-day scrambling course is a great way to combine a pleasant hill walk with a challenging rock scramble up one of the Lake District classic routes.
The course is suitable for anyone reasonably fit with a love of the outdoors and a reasonable head for heights who wants to try scrambling for the first time.

Course programme
Throughout the classic mountain scrambling course the instructor works with no more than two clients.
Our aim is to start on something easy on the first day and move onto something more challenging on the second day.
You can expect to be on a rope for at least one of your days’ scrambling.
On Day 1 we meet at a convenient time, usually around 8:30am, to discuss weather and possible venues.
Scrambles are graded from 1 (easy scrambling) to 3s (hard scrambling that requires the use of a rope).
So we start by deciding on the grade of scramble to attempt, based on your abilities and aspirations.
On Day 2 we usually aim to be more ambitious with some challenging rock scrambles up the Lake District classic routes.
Essential information
Climb 365 provides you with all necessary safety equipment including helmet, harness and rope.
You need to wear suitable clothing including good walking boots.
You do not need to be super fit or athletic but you will be stretching and using your leg and arm muscles a lot, so you do should have a moderate level of fitness.
