ML Assessment

MLTE approved Summer Mountain Leader Assessment Course

We run the courses on behalf of Brathay exploration group.

Why do your ML Training with Climb365
We are right in amongst the mountains - little travel time to the set off point!

Our staff are highly qualified (MIC or MIA & WML) and have many years experience of ML courses as well as working with groups of young people in the outdoors.

This course will cover the syllabus of the Mountain Walking Leader scheme, and is MLTE recognised and approved. We will use the mountains local to our base in Ambleside which includes the Central and Eastern Lake District fells, as well as our local forest, woodland and crag areas. It is being Directed by Graham Watson who is approved by the MLTE to run assessment courses.

The course will start at 9.00am on the first day and finish by 4pm on the last afternoon. Self catering accommodation is provided for three nights with the remaining 2 nights spent on expedition. Showers etc. will be available on return from expedition. On receipt of the booking form candidates will receive further details of the assessment including up to date first aid and logbook requirements. A home research paper will be sent before the course. The candidate will provide all equipment.

For this course you must be registered with the MLTE (or MLTW or MLTS), and fulfil the pre-requirements for ML Summer assessment as detailed during your Training course. It is the candidates responsibility to ensure they are aware of any updates to the assessment requirements brought in since their own Training course.
