MLTE approved Summer Mountain Leader Training Course
Why do your ML Training with Climb365
We base our courses in the heart of the Lake district fells and aim to spend
as much time as possible on the mountains rather than in a classroom.
Our courses are very practically based with an emphasis on learning through
experience and doing.
Matt Autumn 2010
"Hey guys,
Just wanted to drop you an email to say thanks for a great Training session!
It was incredible and by far the best mentoring I have ever had! You guys
both created a chilled out yet effective learning environment on the week
which I could hopefully draw on and impliment throughout my career too!
:D Will be saving some more pennies and hopefully be in contact about some
other courses, but for the assessment for sure!
Thanks again!
Take care
Matt"
John Spring 2010
"Just getting in touch to say thanks again for a really in-depth
week on the ml training course.
As i said during the debrief you have given me what i expected from the
course.............lots to learn.
It was a very interesting course with a lot of skills shown by yourselves
that both of you put across clearly and patiently.
The steep ground/rope work day apart from being wet was put across very
well and enough opportunities were given to practice the methods shown.
My favourite part of the course though is the exped/night nav. It definitely
is a big plus to have it over two nights (it was one of the reasons i decided
to book with yourselves).
Thanks again for a great course."
John.
All our staff are highly qualified (MIC or MIA) and have many years experience of ML courses as well as working with a wide variety of groups, clients and young people in the outdoors.
The course will cover the Training syllabus of the Mountain Walking Leader scheme, and is MLTE recognised and approved.
We run our training courses with a 3 day 2 night expedition to include 2 night navigation exercises. We believe this gives more scope for learning and consolidation than a shorter expedition would allow.
There will be practical, discussion based or lecture sessions on the first two evenings.
The courses will start at 9.00 a.m on the first day and finish at tea time (around 4 pm) on the last day.
For this course you must be registered with the MLTE (or MLTW or MLTS),
and fulfil the experience requirements of 20 quality mountain days.
The MLTE can be contacted on 01690 720314 or e-mail info@mlte.org
or see their website at www.mlte.org
