Our navigation training courses take place in Cumbria, UK and last for three days.
The course is a great way to climb some classic mountain peaks.
It is ideal for anyone with a good level of fitness and is a must for anyone with a love of the outdoors.
Our aims are: to teach the fundamentals and finer points of navigation so that you become confident at reaching your intended destination safely, route choice, safety issues and emergency procedures on the hill to equip you a nd any firends you might be with.
On Day 1 of the wild camping & hill leaders navigation training course we break you in gently with a short introductory walk looking at basic navigation followed by route planning and kit packing for the expedition to follow.
We discuss route choice together and make decisions based on the weather and the ability of the group.
On Day 2 we can be lead by you as to which peaks you would like to climb.
Peaks we may climb include Scafell, Great End, Great Gable, Helvellyn, the Langdale Pikes or Haystacks.
If you have a specific peak you wish to climb, please let us know.
One instructor takes no more than four clients throughout the course.
