over 50s winter scrambling

The over 50's guided winter scrambling course is a 2 day course designed for summer and winter walkers who would like to try something a little more challenging.
As the guided winter scrambling course is designed for the over 50's there is flexibility to tackle a variety of different scrambles depending on ability.
Guided winter scrambling involves using an axe and crampons to climb small rocky steps with the safety of a rope and is a great activity that can be combined with a days winter walking to give a fantastic day on the hill.
There are some beautiful scrambling routes in Scotland that take you to the top of a mountain peak and give a great sense of satisfaction.
No previous winter experience is needed however a good degree of hill fitness is essential to get the most out of the course.
